We have been transformed into such a litigous society and that is assuredly augmenting the cost of living.
Malpractice is defined as erreneous or negligent practice by a lawyer, physician, or other professional that creates injury to a client or patient. Malpractice, as a standard of legal accountability applies only to professionals. The areas in which a appraisal of malpractice can be made, are specialized fields that normally require training and specialized skills.
The dollar value amount of malpractice lawsuits is overwhelming.

Chicago Medical Malpractice Lawyer: Study Shows Doctors Can?t Pass Off Key Decisions

Even though most patients want doctors to offer them treatment options, they prefer that doctors make the final medical decisions, according to a recently released University of Chicago Medical Center study.
The study suggests that when the best option for a patient is uncertain, doctors should make the difficult call, says Chicago medical malpractice attorney Patrick A. Salvi.

Dr. Joel Wallach, “Dead Doctor’s Don’t Lie” Author, to Offer Free Medical Care to Malpractice Attorneys

In response to a resolution proposed at the American Medical Associations annual meeting in Chicago, Dr. Joel Wallach, BS, DVM, ND, author of the best selling audiotape Dead Doctors Dont Lie, with over 62 million copies in circulation, is offering free medical care to medical malpractice attorneys. The AMA resolution, which asked the Association to endorse refusing medical care to attorneys involved in medical malpractice cases, was proposed by Dr. J. Chris Hawk, a South Carolina surgeon.

New York Medical Malpractice Attorney Comments on Rise of Doctors Being Monitored

According to a recent story in the New York Times, 2% of the doctors in the state of New York have been placed on the New York state medical board’s watch list. This study includes professional misconduct by physicians as well as medical malpractice and negligence.
