lawyer….running a practice (playing employees, supplies, bills, insurance, etc) will eat up most of your earnings in the dental field. They do not make as much as it seems.

I had a car accident case that settled about 2 years ago. I was told by my lawyer that all medical related bills will be settled before a settlement check was given to me. I now have a medical bill for $ 15k that the lawyers forgot to include when preparing my settlement. I think this would be classified under lawyer malpractice since they overlooked a medical bill that i now owe because the settlement is over and can not go back to ask for a bigger settlement. I didnt even receive near $ 15k for my settlement and now they expect me to pay it for their negligence! I wanted to get anyones advice to see if suing my lawyer could be a viable option for me. Thanks
The medical bill was sent to me and the lawyer october of 2009 and as a precaution, i always sent a copy of all medical bills to the lawyer. The settlement was in march in 2010 so there was no way the bill came after the settlement and there was no way they couldnt have known about it.
