With the cost of medical malpractice in New York topping the charts, Governor Peterson is going initiate a Freeze on insurance rates. Doctors have been complaining that the increasing amount of medical malpractice insurance is so high, that it is literally driving them out of the state of New York to practice somewhere else. The fact of the matter is that the rates have been so high because there have been so many payouts in settlements of medical malpractice cases. Governor Peterson is planning to freeze the insurance rates for a year so that their administration can figure out a better way to keep practitioners in New York without having to increase insurance rates. The rate of medical malpractice in New York is so high, that many doctors cannot afford to practice medicine anymore. This statement seems rather odd due to their large salaries, however when a case of medical malpractice occurs everything changes.

Cosmetic Surgery Error in New York Strikes Medical Malpractice Lawyers as Unsurprising

Jennifer Esposito, 39, a New York City high-society hostess claims to have been “seriously injured” by a cosmetic procedure because a laser treatment designed to even her skin tone permanently burned red stripes on her face, gaining the attention of medical malpractice lawyers.

An Embryo Mix up Would Involve New York Medical Malpractice Lawyers

Embryo mix-ups at fertility clinics are extremely uncommon. However, when they do happen in a state like New York, medical malpractice lawyers are often involved.
A doctor had given Carolyn Savage the wrong embryo and she became pregnant with Paul and Shannon Morell’s child.
The Savages say the fertility clinic transferred the wrong frozen embryo to Carolyn’s womb in early February. Ten days later, Sean Savage got a call from a doctor saying his wife was pregnant with someone else’s child. Due to her religious beliefs, Carolyn decided to carry the baby to term knowing that she would have to give the baby up once it was born.
